Attempting to have more of an individualistic 'style', but it's difficult when I don't really have a well rounded background as far as artistic education. Being self taught most of the way has helped me in my classes to stand out as far as technique, but I lack something that even really technically terrible artists have: they show through their work. I can make something look like it, but now I want to venture out and be more abstract, not necessarily in concept, but in technique and range. I've still got a long ways to go, but I'm slowly but surely getting there.

In the past two or three years, when I look back on my work mentally I feel like I haven't progressed at all. But then when I get onto deviantart (every 5 friggin months or something like that) and check out all the stuff I posted 3 or 4 years ago, I'm amazed by the difference (BUT, the stuff I posted 3 or 4 years ago... most of it I drew 6/7/8 years ago, so that makes a bit more sense). If you've already done 10 Free Sketches, simply link the journal entry in your comment... Thanks for adding "Focal Point" to your faves!
Continue to develope your style, I still havent narrowed mine down yet. I like too many artists to try to find a single method. Stay creative! ;-)
So far so good.
Another Jenny Saville fan :D I very much ADORE your version of her 'Reverse' piece.
You're very talented :)
Also, you have a brilliant music taste. :D!
llama for youuuu ^^

Thank you, I did that quite a while ago, but I was proud of it. Its extremely difficult to try to recreate paint strokes using pastels. But I think I got it :) (I kind of cheated by powdering the pastels, adding a bit of water, and kind of painting them on the BFK reeves paper, hahaha).
